Useful Links to Other Sites
These videos (just) might be useful for anyone who wants to start off writing real-time interactive graphics programs. Starting off with screeencasting software (if you want to showcase anything you've done) I move on to what you need in the way of software and tutorials. Then comes my stuff, starting with a basic "flight simulator" called Flight. In the first video I demonstrate various controls, in the second I demonstrate pop-up windows with slide-bars and such stuff. The PlotFiles are a genuine attempt at some scientific graphics. Finally, I have a video looking at the basic C++ code common to all of the programs. The videos aren't perfect, and some of the sound glitches occur when I had the video resolution set too high for ffmpeg to cope with audio too. Some flaws in the PlotFiles are now fixed, and you can download all the source code from GitHub, as you shall see.
